Chicken is a classic planking recipe, but if you’re tired of the same old, same old chicken breast recipe, here is one that’s sure to kick up your chicken game a notch or two. Tandoori chicken is widely spread in South Asia. It is a chicken dish prepared with yogurt and various spices. The Maple plank adds a hint of sweet smokiness.

Total Time: 35 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 5 x 11” Maple Plank
  • 4 small Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 2 Tbs. Water
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Ground Turmeric
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 clove Garlic, chopped
  • 2” Fresh Ginger, chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground Coriander

Chef's Tip

Curcumin is the compound
in turmeric that gives it the
identifiable bright yellow
color. It is also known for
its many health benefits.

Directions:

  1. Score the chicken by making small slits in the meat so the marinade can penetrate.

  3. Add chicken and turn to coat. Refrigerate in the marinade for 1 to 24 hours.
