Chicken is a classic planking recipe, but if you’re tired of the same old, same old chicken breast recipe, here is one that’s sure to kick up your chicken game a notch or two. Tandoori chicken is widely spread in South Asia. It is a chicken dish prepared with yogurt and various spices. The Maple plank adds a hint of sweet smokiness.

Ingredients:
- 5 x 11” Maple Plank
- 4 small Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 Lemon, juiced
- 2 Tbs. Water
- 1 tsp. Salt
- ½ tsp. Ground Turmeric
- 1 cup Plain Yogurt
- 1 clove Garlic, chopped
- 2” Fresh Ginger, chopped
- 1 ½ tsp Ground Coriander
- 1 tsp. Ground Cumin
- ¼ tsp. Cayenne Pepper

Curcumin is the compound
in turmeric that gives it the
identifiable bright yellow
color. It is also known for
its many health benefits.
Directions:
- Score the chicken by making small slits in the meat so the marinade can penetrate.
- Mix lemon juice, water, salt, turmeric, yogurt, garlic, ginger, coriander and cumin in a gallon size zip lock bag.
- Add chicken and turn to coat. Refrigerate in the marinade for 1 to 24 hours.
- Soak Maple Plank in hot water for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat grill to 450°F.
- Remove chicken from marinade and place on plank.
- Place plank on grill, close lid and grill for 20-25 minutes.
- Have a spray bottle of water handy for flare-ups.
