Although this recipe is so simple it can hardly be called a recipe, these caprese skewers are so delicious and make the perfect make-ahead appetizer. Not a fan of tomatoes? Melon balls and prosciutto would make another delicious combination.

Chef's Tip

Balsamic glaze can be found at most grocery stores, but you can easily make your own by simmering good quality balsamic vinegar until it reduces.

Directions:

  1. Drain the liquid from the fresh mozzarella balls.
  2. Thread tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves on the skewers, and repeat until skewers are full.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste and drizzle with balsamic reduction. Enjoy!
