This golden trout recipe has only a handful of simple ingredients and is easy to make — even on a weeknight. The fish will stay moist and juicy inside the Alder wrap, while also taking on the subtle, smoky flavor of the wood.

Chef's Tip
For a beautiful presentation,
add some long stems of fresh
herbs as decoration when
serving to your guests.
Directions:
- Soak the Alder Wraps in warm water for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven or grill to 350°F.
- Clean the trouts by rinsing and drying the inside and outside of the fish. Add salt and pepper on the inside.
- Stuff the trout with lemon slices, butter and herbs.
- Place the trout on the Alder wrap (one trout per wrap) and secure with natural twine.
- Add to grill and cook for about 15 minutes, or until done (the flesh should easily fall away from the bone).

- Carefully pull the bones away from the fish.
- Serve with lemon and enjoy!
